Callum Stewart, PhD

Callum is an Investment Principal at BullhoundCapital. He joined the firm after finishing his PhD at the University of Cambridge, where he worked on developing semiconductor materials that could one-day underpin the quantum internet. Topics covered in his academic career were varied and broad, ranging from quantum and battery materials to data science and photonics. He’s published many high impact papers, receiving >150 citations and speaking at a host of leading academic conference in his field. Always close to innovation, Callum has previously worked with Hummingbird Ventures and Funding Circle.

Covering deeptech more broadly in the team, he has had a leading role in investments into Q-CTRL, Leolabs, Multiverse, and Quantum Systems. He actively supports these deeper tech companies in their growth journeys, using his technical expertise and role as a thought leader in the sector to ensure they’re telling the right story to the right people.
