2 November 2020 - In our latest Asia Insights update, GP Bullhound summarises the key observations on the global technology investment activities from an Asian perspective, and explores the flow of capital between Asia and the European and US markets.

Elsa Hu, Executive Director at GP Bullhound, commented: “This quarter we saw overall activity increase thanks to large fundraising deals and more US / European tech investments into Asia. Sector-wise, both European and US investors preferred Fintech, Software and Marketplaces, while the US was more bullish on Software. However, with the pandemic and continued geopolitical tensions, we believe Chinese investors are turning more cautious towards overseas investments, and that M&A will be more friendly for local buyers in Europe and the US as cross-continent deal making requires more resources than usual.”
